Independent inspectors, working only for you

HonestEye was founded in [20XX] on a simple idea: the person paying for the inspection deserves the whole truth about the building, delivered in language they can act on.

Meet the inspector

[Owner Name], founder and lead inspector

Before [Owner Name] ever wrote an inspection report, they spent two decades building and remodelling houses in and around [Your City]. That background is the whole reason the reports read the way they do — when you have framed a wall, you know instantly whether a crack is the building settling or the building failing.

Every inspection is performed personally, not handed to a subcontractor with the company name on their shirt. The number of jobs booked per day is deliberately capped so that no client ever gets the rushed version.

And when the report lands in your inbox at nine in the evening, the phone number at the bottom of it reaches the person who wrote it.

How we got here

Built on site, not in a franchise manual

Twenty years on the tools

Before [20XX] — Framing, remodelling and residential construction. Learning how houses are actually built — including the corners that get cut when nobody is watching.

HonestEye opens

[20XX] — Founded on one rule that has not changed since: report what is there, explain what it means, and never let anyone else’s deal influence the words.

A full-service inspection practice

Today — Thermal imaging, drone survey, radon, sewer scope and lab testing all in house, so a client never has to chase four vendors through a ten-day window.

What we stand on

Four rules we do not bend

They are not marketing lines. They are the reasons we turn work down, and the reasons clients come back.

Independence is the product

We do not perform repairs, take referral fees, or accept work from builders on homes we inspect. The only person our report serves is the person who paid for it.

Thorough beats fast — but we manage both

We will not cut an inspection short because the next one is across town. We simply book fewer of them per day than most firms do.

Explain, don’t alarm

Anyone can generate a frightening list. The skill is telling you which three items on it actually change your decision, and why.

The relationship outlasts the invoice

Clients call us years later about a report we wrote. We answer. That is not a service add-on, it is just how this should work.

Our promise

If we would not buy it, we will tell you

There is a version of this job where you produce a tidy report, collect the fee and let the transaction take care of itself. We are not interested in that version.

  • We will tell you plainly when a finding is a deal-breaker, not bury it on page 40
  • We will tell you just as plainly when something you are worried about is fine
  • We will never recommend a contractor who pays us for the referral, because none do
  • We will answer your questions about the report for as long as you own the house

Clients who stuck around

Most of our work comes from buyers who tell a friend and agents who keep calling back. Here is a sample of what they say.

4.9
Based on [000] verified reviews

“We were buying our first place and had no idea what we were looking at. The report came back the same evening with photos of every single thing, ranked by what actually mattered. The seller ended up covering the panel repair. Worth ten times what we paid.”

Marisa T.Home buyer

“I put my clients with HonestEye because the reports don’t scare people for no reason. Real issues get flagged clearly, cosmetic stuff gets called cosmetic. That distinction saves deals.”

Dan R.Realtor

“Did our pre-drywall and final walkthrough on a new build. Found missing strapping and a bathroom vent dumping into the attic — things the builder’s own crew had signed off on. They fixed all of it before closing.”

Priya S.New construction buyer

“Had the pre-listing inspection done before we went on the market. Fixed four things for about $900 and never had a single repair request from the buyer. Easiest money I’ve spent on the house.”

Kevin M.Home seller

“Showed up early, spent almost four hours on a 1960s house, and crawled through a crawlspace I wouldn’t go near. Explained the difference between ‘old but fine’ and ‘needs attention now’ without any drama.”

Alicia B.Home buyer

“Third inspection we’ve booked with them. Same thoroughness every time, and they still pick up the phone six months later when you have a question about something in the report.”
