Scope of the inspection

A home inspection is a visual, non-invasive examination of the readily accessible systems and components of a building on the day of the inspection. It is not a warranty, a guarantee, an insurance policy, or a code compliance inspection.

We do not dismantle equipment, move stored belongings, open walls, or inspect concealed or inaccessible areas. Anything not inspected is identified as such in the report.

What the report represents

The report describes the condition of the property at the time of the inspection. Buildings change: components fail, weather intervenes, and occupants make alterations. The report does not predict future performance or remaining life beyond a reasonable professional estimate.

Payment and cancellation

Fees are due at or before the inspection unless agreed otherwise in writing. The report is released once payment has been received. Appointments can be rescheduled without charge when we are given reasonable notice.

Limitation of liability

Our liability in connection with an inspection is limited as set out in the inspection agreement you sign before the inspection takes place. Please read that agreement carefully and ask us about anything in it that is unclear.
